Tie in Blue Jay hackle first with tips pointing out over the eye. Wind thread to bend. Tie in tail and rib, then dub body. Tie in both hackles and palmer together to bend. Fasten down with rib, then rib body. Tie off and cut off waste. Tie in black hen hackle, two turns only. Bring blue Jay back over body and tie down forming neat head. Whipfinish.
